Rep. Carey Hamilton receives Conservation Champion Award (2021)

February 12, 2021 INDIANAPOLIS – State Rep. Carey Hamilton recently received the Indiana Wildlife Federation's Conservation Champion award, which is given to only two members of the Indiana General Assembly each year.

The award was established to recognize Indiana lawmakers for their efforts to protect the state’s outdoor legacy for future generations. Hamilton was singled out for her role in spearheading the launch of a bipartisan Indiana Legislative Trails Caucus as well as her leadership in resource conservation.

“I’m honored to be recognized by the Indiana Wildlife Federation. It is incredibly important to me to do all I can to protect Indiana’s natural resources and to expand outdoor recreation opportunities, specifically building new trails across Indiana,” Hamilton said. “I look forward to continuing this work to benefit Hoosiers for generations to come.”
