Carey grew up in Indianapolis, graduated from Pike High School, and returned with her husband to raise her family in the heart of District 87. Carey comes from a line of veterans and small business owners.
Her entire career has been connected to the public good - working in government, running a state-wide non-profit, owning her own business with public, private and non-profit clients, and most recently, working in the private sector helping governments deliver on their goals to build healthier communities.
